Honeybee

The queen bee lay eggs in wax cells than they hatch into grubs called larvae in the cells. Next, the wax cells get covered with wax. After a few weeks it starts to eat its way out.

After a few more weeks, all of the young bees have hatched. The bees are old enough they can make wax.  After a couple more days, they collect pollen with the other bees.

Lent - acts of kindness to help others

Today we are thinking about how to help other people who are not as fortunate as us...

We watched a video about the floods in Cambodia and talked about how we, here in New Zealand, can help the people who live so far away.

We are in the season of Lent which began yesterday with a whole school mass as it was Ash Wednesday.. The purpose of Lent is the preparation for Easter through prayer, doing things for others, going without treats, saying sorry and trying to think like Jesus....

What else do you think we could do?
We'd love to hear your ideas!
