Memories

My  favourite   subject  this  year  was  maths  because  I  want  to  be  smart   at  adding, subtracting and multiplying. I  have  improved in R.E.  because  I  learn  about  Jesus  all  the  time. I  really  enjoyed  playing  kiwi sport   with  my  friends.  I  am  proud  of  my maths  because  I  have  been  getting  smarter  and smarter.  My  friends  were  funny.  I  became  friends  with  them  because they  are  weird  and  so  am  I so it all works out. Next year I would like to improve my spelling.

Our First Badminton Lesson

Last Tuesday Room 4 had their first badminton lesson. Robbie our instructor said to us, "First of all lets play a game. Have you heard of the game called Stuck in the Mud?" I had to run away from Olidah and Maea, because they tagged someone like Mei. You have to put your hands in the air. Robbie told us to bounce the ball carefully and make a small bounce. The shuttlecock was flying high in the air. I could see it touch the roof. I felt excited to play. Mrs Pole told us it'
s not just about having fun its about learning about badminton. I remembered it.

my collage artwork

I enjoyed  putting some sequins on the tail.
What I found  tricky was putting on the paper on without getting glue on my hands.
I like the way I put the eyes on because it looks different.
I used texture by feeling it by hand and I like the colour purple.

Showing People About Faith

Last Friday at 12pm Room 4 had a Virtues Assembly. First of all Sia, the announcer, said, "Thank you for coming to Room 4's assembly. Falakiko and Maris-Stella are going to say a prayer."  We had a song. I loved it when Falakiko and I sang a song. It was wonderful. My favourite part was the Honest Disciple because it was funny and honest. The real reason why we did the assembly was to show people about Faith. I, Keira, couldn't handle that many people. When I was on stage my mum said, "It is alright my darling."
I said, "Thank you mum for telling me. I love you mum and dad for coming to my assembly." So I hugged them and said goodbye.

Swimming at Saint Pius X

At the swimming pool interesting things have been going on. There are learning and listening stuff at the swimming that we can do. The instructors have to tell us every swimming thing we have to know. It feels like sleeping on a soft, comfortable, beautiful cloud when I am floating. I can do a streamline just like a professional in the Olympics when they are swimming the fruit of self control. When they are swimming in the swimming pool Kevin gives the boys and girls a test just like Mrs Pole's test. Mrs Pole gives us a spelling test. We learn new things when we are listening. I, Keira, can do a handstand and look under the water at the same time. It was awesome and fun. All of my friends come to the other side of the swimming pool. I was the fastest, it did not matter because it was awesome.

Huni

Dear Huni,
Today I want to tell you thank you for taking care off our school for 35 years. When it was broken I thank you for fixing our desks.
I want to thank you for being kind to me and all of the children at Saint Pius X and planting flowers in our garden. I am sorry that you are leaving our school.
I really enjoy seeing you every day and I really enjoy being your friend. I enjoy you being in my life.
I would like to say may God bless you and you're gone.

Love from Keira

Friends come together

Yesterday Saint Joseph's children came to our school. First of all we had to line up in our lines. Then everyone went into the Church. I was ready to make a friend. There was two priests, Father Terry and Father Ioane. My favourite part was when we sang the song. "It was beautiful" I whispered. I saw Father Terry. He sang the song with all of the children. That was the first time I heard a different priest sing at our school. I heard someone say "That was brilliant!" Then Mr Coakley said "Everyone has 5 minutes to play with their buddies." I remembered I made a friend. Her name was Kate. She didn't have any lunch. So I had to share my lunch with her. Then we played tiggy. It was fun because she was with me but when she left it was sad. She gave me a special gift to remember her when she's gone.

Adventure On The Motor Cycle

In the holidays me and Dad, Nigel, went on the motor cycle. I felt like I was flying in the air. It was cold because I didn't have my jumper with me.  We   went   past every house. The houses  were  big and  beautiful . The  first time  I  went on  the  motor cycle  I  was  going  on  my  bike.  My  dad   said  to  me, " Keira, do  you   want  to  go  on  the  motor cycle  with  me?"  I  said, "Yes!'  I put  the  helmet    on  and  off  we  went. It  was  fun.  I  saw  the  lines  on  the  road.   The   colours  were yellow and bright.  we  went   down   the  hill   and    it  was  really,  really  scary    and  that   was  my   favourite  part.   I  like  being  scary .

Waitangi Day

On Waitangi day my family went to a concert. At the concert there was a bouncy castle. The people were selling stuff to get some money. My family was selling food too. Me and my sister were waiting in the line to go on the bouncy castle. First we went on the tiger bouncy castle and then we went on the biggest bouncy castle.
