Memories

My favourite subject this year was reading Smartkids comprehension cards. They are such fun. They are easy and they ask us questions.
I have improved doing narratives because they are so cool.
I really enjoyed doing my maths because they are so easy.
I do maths with my friends.
I am proud of myself because I manage myself.
My friends are Malakai. I because friends with him because I let him use my felts.
Next year I would like to manage myself even better.

My Troll

My troll is evil and mean. He lives in dark cave in a forest. He eats meat, people and goat meat too. In the night he does not sleep. He goes and finds meaty people and goat meat so he can eat them. My troll is always very hungry. My troll has got scars on his face and he got long ears and spiky teeth and a big nose. My troll is enormous. He wears big ugly shoes, his hair is spiky and he wears colourful pants and a golden shirt. His eyes are orange and his face is orange and blue and he's after you.

First Day of Milk

Today Room 4 had milk on Friday 8th November. We had to read our books. First our monitors had to look for the people who were reading. When I drank the milk it tasted yum. After I had finished I had to make sure the carton was empty because if it's not the milk will go everywhere. Our monitors are Aaliyah and Vanessa. I was so excited when I was given my milk. After I drank the milk I had to give it to our monitors and they folded the carton of milk. By Macky

The Hare and the Tortoise Retold by Macky

Once upon a time there was a show off Hare who was the fastest runner in the land. He saw a slow Tortoise walking alone in the bushes. The Hare asked Tortoise if he wanted a race. Hare said to Tortoise "You are very slow." The Hare ran as fast as he could. After a while he went for a sleep under a big tree and Tortoise went past Hare. He was still asleep when Tortoise was at the finish line. Hare woke up and ran as fast as he could. You go Tortoise! You won Tortoise!

The message is never give up!

Badminton

On Tuesday afternoon Room 4 went to the hall to learn new skills. Our instructor was Robbie. The first thing we had to do was take our shoes off. After htat we had to warm up and we played Stuck in the Mud. The catchers were Maea and Olidah and the next catchers where Kiko and Fiapo. We had to sit in a line. We had to take one racquet and a shuttlecock and stand in a line. After that we had to put the shuttlecock on the racquet. Some people dropped the shuttlecock. After that we had to bounce the shuttlecock. I bounced it high, even Mrs Pole saw me and we had to make a hamburger. I felt happy. My team was Katelyn and Kiko. We all had to get into 3 teams. Some people in Room 4 were running with the racquet and Robbie told us to come and sit down. After that we had to put our shoes on.

I enjoyed when I made the tail because I made my sparkly tail.
what I found tricky was when I did my eye, glueing the sequins on the plastic.
I like the way I did my fish because I almost made my fish wrong.
I used texture by feeling my dye because it feels smooth.

Football fun

First of all who were they? Mrs Denny and Room 4 and Courtney the coach. Yesterday afternoon where did it happen? At the courts. First we changed into our sports clothes. How did it feel? It felt exciting and I was happy and tired and nervous and I felt scared. First of all we learnt a new skill. We had to stand on the yellow line and Courtney passed the ball to the people at the end. After we all had the ball we had to put the ball in an area and when she said green light we had to go and when she said red light we had to put our leg on the ball. We went to class and changed and we had fruit and Mrs Denny read us a book and that was my favourite part.

The Water Slide

Last Wednesday we went to our last triathlon. First of all we went and changed into our wet togs and we went to stand behind the cone. We slid and pushed ourselves and soap came into my mouth! My favourite part was when I slid and we had to run around the cone. I went to the tree and ran and slid and slid. I went all the way to the grass and the grass went on my face. The soap came on my face and the bubbles went in my mouth and water came from the hose and it went on my face! I saw some people hurt themselves.
