Memories

My favourite subject this year was the touch because I won.
I have improved my maths because I am doing well.
I really enjoyed kiwi sport because it is fun.
I am proud of myself because I read to my mum every night.
My friends are cool, I became friends with them because I asked them to be my friend.

Next year I would like to play rugby league.

My Troll

My troll is an ugly troll. He has sharp nails and uses his hands to catch goat meat. He has a coat on to hide the goats under.
He's got red eyes. On his head is an orange hat. His skin is green. His shoes are curly. He is a naughty troll because he scares people. He has got a scratch on his eye and a scar on his forehead. On his chest there is a rip. My troll lives under a wooden bridge. My troll eats girls and boys and goat meat.

Our First Day of Milk

On Friday our monitors, Aaliyah and Vanessa, went to the music room to Mrs Hoggins and Mrs Hoggins gave the box of milk to Aaliyah and Vanessa. Aaliyah and Vanessa gave the milk to people who were reading. Vanessa gave one of the milk cartons to me. I pulled the straw off the milk. Falakiko called to me "I am going to drink it fast!" I put the straw into the hole and I drank it fast. As soon as I had finished Aaliyah showed me how to fold the empty carton.

Running Away from a Dog - A Narrative

One sunny day Jimmy and Jessica were riding their speedy bikes at the near by park. They were riding up and down the steep path having a great race. As they went by the courner Jimmy heard a loud bark. "Whats that?" Yelled Jessica.
"Oh there is a big black dog coming after us." Shouted Jimmy.
"I think that is his owner." Shouted Jessica
"That's not his owner." Yelled Jimmy.
Jessica said, "That's the owner."
"He is a big strong man." Called Jimmy.
The man came to take his dog Max back home. "I'm sorry. I left my gate open." Said Jack the owner. "I will take you two back home."
The children were so glad they were not attacked. They will go to the park again.

Rona and the Moon retold by Samuel

Long, long ago in a dark forest Rona's kids were thirsty. She went to get some water for her kids from the river. It was to dark. She tripped. Marama came out of the cloudy clouds and Marama grabbed Rona's hand. Rona's hand was holding tightly onto the Ngaio tree. Rona's kids yelled out "I am thirsty." Rona said to Marama "Let me go! Let go of my hand!" Marama did not let go of Rona's hand. Rona's kids were waiting for Rona.

MESSAGE: Be careful how you talk to others.

The Water slide

Last Wednesday morning room 4 went out to our last day of the Triathlon. We all lined up in a line and then we went to the water slide and all of us slid on our tummies. Next some people went to the courts and some people went to ride the big green bikes. After that we went back to the slide again and when we had finished on the slide we went to the running line but I had a bleeding nose. We went to class and got changed and ate our lunch. We went out to play on the playground. Some people ran on the slide. My favourite part was when people were screaming.

Fitness

First thing on Monday morning the junior school lined up in their teams. Mrs Pole took us to the playground first and we went to the running and Mr Gaffney told me to take off my shoes and I we fast. I came first. My favourite activity was running because I came first. My second best is the playground and my last event was the skipping. When the fitness was finished I felt tired.
