Making a Wonderful Porridge

On a cold drizzly morning Room 4 made some porridge because the olden day people used to eat porridge. First of all Mrs Pole told Eusipio to go get three jugs of water to tip inside the pot. Then some people came up and sprinkled oatmeal in the pot. Next Mrs Pole got Marcus to come and stir the porridge. After that Mrs Pole got some children to come up and stir and the porridge. It was yummy and incredible. Some people had more then one bowl, like 3 bowls. My feelings about the porridge is porridge is thick and bubblingr. While we were getting our bowls Mrs Pole gave some porridge to the children. Last of all we went to Mrs Pole to put some sugar into the porridge. It looked unbelievable.

The Big Pot of Porridge

On a cold Monday morning Room 4 made porridge because the olden day kids ate porridge. First of all Room 4 surrounded the element and the pot. They were sitting on cushions. Mrs Pole asked Pio to fill up the jug with water and he tipped it in the pot. Next Mrs Pole asked some kids to come and sprinkle some oatmeal into the pot while it was cooking. After that Mrs Pole asked some kids to come and stir the porridge. Marcus was first to stir. Following this we were sitting up and waiting for our turn to stir. Now it was my turn. I stirred and stirred. I was excited because I was ready to eat it all up. Room 4 had fun eating porridge. Most kids had more than 2 bowls like me. I ate and ate and ate. I went to Ms Matt for brown sugar and some milk, yum! Last of all Stanley was the last customer for the porridge.

Going to Ararimu school

On a  drizzly, cloudy morning Room 4 lined up under an ENORMOUS tree  outside  Ararimu School. We followed  Mrs Good to a school called Ararimu  School . Room 4 went inside   Mrs Good said two boys here and two girls there. First we did  hand writing. I wrote with my left hand and Mrs Good said write with your right hand NOW!  I said I write with my left hand and she said I do not care !  Then I was  scared.  I tried my best. When  I 'd almost finished she said, you can write with your left hand now . After handwriting we did the map. After the map it was a spelling bee. Boys won because they had the most points. We had Arithmetic. Room 4 used the abacus. My favourite part was trying my best.
