Our First Day of Milk

Today 8th November Room 4 had milk which was very sad that Mrs Hoggins had to lift it for us. Our milk tasted like normal milk but it sort of tasted like the Church bread. I said the milk made my skelton really strong as it had made my brain go faster and made me work faster. I also concentrated on my work rather than talk to my neighbor Samasoni and Fiapo. Room 4 had to drink and read because we had to be quiet. I wish that I could have a cup of milk instead of a little bottle. I wanted some more of the milk. By Sia

Room 4's New Kiwi Sport

Yesterday, on Monday, I looked on the big board and it said 'squash,' which was after lunch time. I found out that it was our new kiwi sport. First of all Room 4 went to line up and also our tall instructor Phil meet us at the front door. Phil said to us, "Have you heard of squash?"
We shouted at him "No!"
He said, "Oh, let's play now."
"Yes."
Then we went inside the hall and sat down in our lines. The instructors were showing us how to play squash. I was just watching Phil and Michael.
After Tuesday Sateki came to our school. When it was Tuesday Michael and Phil had to show Sateki how to play squash, then we carried on playing. I was puffed after squash. I felt very tired.

I enjoyed sewing the butterfly and the flower because I love stitching.

Rude Rona and the Marama Retold By Sia

Once upon a time in a deep, dark forest lived a rude woman called Rona and Marama, the moon, and some children and a father who always slept next to his little child who was really thirsty. The child asked his mother to get him some water. The mother said "Marama come out of the clouds." Then the moon came oiut of the clouds and grabbed Rona's hand and Rona was still holding the ngaio tree. When she was up on the moon she said, "help! Help!" to her children. The children were waiting for their mother. The children were very sad.

Message: Be careful how you are talking to people because you say rude words.

The Hare and the Tortoise Retold by Sia

One day, on a summer's day, in a pretty meadow lived a show-off Hare and a slow-motion Tortoise. The show-off Hare asked the Tortoise "Do you want a race?"
Tortoise said, "Whatever, if you want a race because I will beat you."
"No.... Because you are the slowest animal in the land."
The Hare decided to eat some grass and take a nap. So the Tortoise was running as fast as he could. Tortoise was waiting at the finish line for silly show-off Hare. Hare got up and he didn't see Tortoise. Then he said "Oh my goodness! I have to go to the finish line." Hare saw Tortoise at the finish line. Hare had to say "Sorry for showing off to you at the start line." So Hare and Tortoise became friends and went home together.

Room 4 New Skills

On Tuesday afternoon Room 4 went to the hall to learn new skills from Robbie from Auckland Badminton. Robbie taught us new skills with the racquet. First of all to start with we played warm up games. The first game of the warm up was to put the racquet like you are shaking a hand. Next we had to put the racquet like a pan because we had to not hit people because it might hurt them. Last of all Room 4 had to say goodbye to Robbie because we were going back to class.

What I found tricky was that I never knew that the glue could dry on top of the tissue paper.
I like the way that I put the sequins on the bubble wrap.
I used texture by feeling it and smelling the background.

Swimming at Saint Pius X School

In our school we have a pool in the courts, in a marque. Saint Pius X school all had a turn at swimming but not Room 7 and Room 1 and Room 2. The instructors name was Gillian and Kevin. The pool was very big and I could still touch the ground. We had lots of fun because first we got changed and we were excited. Then we got to the pool and it was very cold and getting colder. I've had to say I really enjoyed playing around and having free time. When I was swimming I was very cold and comfortable. Next we did a high five to Kevin. I had lots of fun. I was good at swimming. I was very excited and nervous. We had to hi five Kevin and Gillian when we got out.

My Holiday

My Holiday

In the holidays I went to the holiday programme.  I went to the Saint Pius holiday programme with my big sister, Malia and Justin. It was on Saturday. Maris-Stella, Macky and Falakiko came to the holiday programme. We had lots of fun. My leader was Phoenix. I was playing cat and mouse. We played heaps of games. It was in the hall. There were heaps of people and there were heaps of games. We had hoola hoops then we had so much fun because after that we all went to McDonald's and played there. We were very happy.

Football fun

Yesterday in the afternoon Room 4 got changed for football. Next we took off our shoes then we went to the courts and we lined up on the yellow line. After that Courtney passed balls around to the last person at the end. It was me. Next I put the ball up in the air by holding it up. We played traffic lights and I felt very happy and nervous. After that we all played some more games. We all were very tired and scared. I was very sweaty. I was excited in the first part.Courtney put us into teams. My teams colour was yellow. My number was 10. We all got changed to other spots but some of them stayed in their goals. I felt very  tired! It was fun. Next we all went to class. Next Room 1 came to the courts. I had heaps of fun.

My Soul Friend

My soul friends name is Kalolaine. She is 9 years old. Her favourite subject is reading because it gets you to places. Her favourite colour is blue because it is the same colour as the ocean. Her favourite food is hot chips. Her favourite thing about school is singing because she wants to be a singer. I like my soul friend because she is kind.

Triathlon

On Monday me and my class went to the triathlon. First of all we went to the jumping event. Then we went to another event. There were three men and they taught us how to ride and exercise. If you can't ride a big bike you have to go to the courts. I went to the courts because I don't know how to ride a big bike. We had lots of fun when we went to class.
